| Firstly, we are open for school parties and are able to provide guided tours on request. We have a computer room in our animal barn. We can provide close encounters with the animals so that both children and adults can get close and personal with creatures such as snakes, ferrets, tortoises, owls etc. We have a wonderful woodland walk where we can talk through native british animals and plants. You can also visit the Maasai village where you can see animals co-existing and learn all about life in Africa as a Maasai member. To book in advance please contact us by email or phone. |

Secondly, staff members directly invloved with the visit are welcome to arrange a free pre-visit. This will give your staff an opportunity to become familiarised with the layout and facilities, enabling them to produce a schedule for their visit.
Our objective is to ensure that staff as well as pupils are enriched by a visit to Porfell. We aim to achieve a balance between education, conservation and entertainment, and to help everyone enjoy the wonders of life thorugh observation, stimulation and discovery. |
